This training event is for primary care physicians, psychiatrists, pharmacists, midwives, public health nurses, nurse practitioners and therapists/counsellors providing advice, information and care to women who are taking psychotropic medications or other substances in pregnancy and postpartum.

Topics include:

  • myths and facts about psychotropic medications and other substances in pregnancy and lactation
  • current research on psychotropic medications and other substances in pregnancy and lactation
  • assessing research and media reports, and communicating findings clearly with clients
  • screening and counselling.

Other Details

This webinar is three hours long, including approximately 45 minutes for interaction and discussion.

Computer experience is not required and you can participate in from any computer with Internet access.

The cost for this event is $50.00.
